Depression Overview

Depression is not just “being sad.” Roughly 7 of every 100 people suffer depression at some point in their lives. Major depressive disorder is the leading cause of disability in the U.S. for ages 15-44. If left untreated, depressive symptoms could lead to significant problems and possibly suicide. BUT, depression is one of the most treatable illnesses using both antidepressant medication and talk therapy. Studies suggest of the patients that seek treatment, the majority of patients have a positive response.
