What can I expect?
When you call our office you will speak with Shelly, our patient recruiter. Her job is determining whether a current research study is right for you. Some of the things we need to know are your name, birthday, height/weight, medical conditions, and current medications. If you qualify to participate in a current research study, we will tell you information about the study. The next step is for you to visit our office for a screening appointment. At this appointment, you will meet one-on-one with a study coordinator and review the details of the study. We will review the informed consent, which explains the details of the research study, and answer any questions. After you understand the study and if both you and the study coordinator feel the study is appropriate, we will check your vital signs. You will then meet with the research physician and the rest of the research team involved in the study for the final decision.
