What’s in it for me?
There are several reasons people participate in clinical research:
- Gain access to research treatments before they are widely available
- Obtain medical care and a free psychiatric evaluation and physical exam
- Help others by contributing to medical research
- Available medications are not helping to relieve symptoms
- Possibility of experiencing less side effects than current treatment
- No insurance needed to receive medical care (if you qualify for a study)
- Receive compensation for time and travel (compensation can vary from hundreds to thousands of dollars depending on the study)
Eligible participants will receive study-related care, monitoring and medication/ placebo at no cost. Compensation for time and travel is available.
